About Dave Navarro:
Multi-hyphenate talent Dave Navarro is a guitarist, singer, songwriter, filmmaker, and television and radio host. Best known as an original member of the iconic rock band Jane's Addiction, Navarro has collaborated with everyone from Michael Jackson, Guns N’ Roses’ to Nine Inch Nails. He is also a former member of the Red Hot Chili Peppers. He placed guitar for Alanis Morrissette’s track You Oughta Know one of the 1990s most successful albums, Jagged Little Pill.

Many of Jane’s Addiction songs are universally recognized including Jane Says, Ocean Size, Mountain Song, Been Caught Stealing, Stop, Just Because, and Superhero, which is the theme song of the hit HBO show, Entourage.

Navarro rose to prominence with the band Jane's Addiction. Playing guitar and co-writing the music with the rest of the band, their debut album Nothing's Shocking was released in 1988 to rave reviews and massive success. Behind the strength of the single Jane Says, the album went platinum and was later named one of the 500 greatest albums of all time by Rolling Stone Magazine.

On the TV front, Navarro is also the host of the very popular reality competition show INK MASTER, now in its seventh season on Spike. No stranger to the art of tattooing, he has served as the host since the beginning of the show.

Recently, Navarro released his first feature film, a documentary entitled MOURNING SON. Shot over seven years, the doc tells the gripping and traumatic story of his mother's murder and the emotional fallout it caused. Directed by one of his best friends, Todd Newman, MOURNING SON focuses on the psychology of the victims affected by the tragedy and Dave’s journey to healing. As the film is very personal to him, he is featured in the film and also served as a producer and co-writer.
