About Bruce Hochman:
Bruce Hochman may be one of the world's biggest Dali fans and is the proprietor of the world's only gallery devoted exclusively to the works of Salvador Dali.

As the driving force behind publication of Albert Field's catalog of Dali's graphic works, Bruce single-handedly enlightened the art world and brought about a new wave of Dali popularity in the late 1980s and 90s. It all started in 1987 when Bruce worked as an art consultant for a Beverly Hills gallery. Interest in Dali was growing at the time, but came to an abrupt halt after 60 Minutes exposed a world-wide influx of Dali forgeries. Bruce made it his mission to revive the public's faith. He accomplished this by aligning himself with Albert Field, a longtime Dali friend and Dali's personally-appointed archivist. Field planned to publish a catalog of Dali's works that would put an end to speculation about which pieces were authentic and which were not. But funding and production problems were holding up publication of the catalog. Bruce got the project back on track. He and Field mounted a Dali exhibit in Los Angeles and produced a small catalog of the works exhibited at the show. Field expanded this small catalog into an exhaustive master catalog, published by the Salvador Dali Archivesin 1996 as the Official Catalog of the Graphic Works of Salvador Dali. The Albert Field catalog is now the definitive source of information on Dali graphics.

On March 9, 1996 Bruce Hochman was inducted into the prestigious “Order of Salvador” at The Salvador Dali Museum in recognition of support and contributions to The Salvador Dali Museum. Bruce Hochman now operates the Salvador Dali Gallery from a location in San Juan Capistrano, California.
