    Dario de Martino is a Partner at the firm’s Corporate Department in the New York office and serves as the co-chair of the Blockchain Group. His practice focuses on domestic and cross-border corporate transactions, principally in connection with public and private mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, private equity transactions, and corporate governance matters. He represents a broad range of U.S.-based and international clients, from global corporations to closely held companies, many of which are active in technology, including the blockchain and cryptocurrencies, financial services, and healthcare industries.

    In addition, he regularly counsels clients in the blockchain and cryptocurrency space with respect to private equity investments, the development of blockchain-enabled technologies, token offerings, and the tokenization of assets. Mr. de Martino is a frequent speaker and writer on various topics in M&A and private equity, with a particular focus on emerging technologies, blockchain investments, and token offerings. He is also actively involved in the firm’s diversity and inclusion efforts. Among other things, he developed and was a panelist at the firm’s inaugural Change from the Top Summit, a program attended by world thought leaders dedicated to promoting diversity and inclusion at all levels.

    In late 1999, Patrick M. Byrne launched, which achieved its first profitable quarter in 2002 and its first full year of profitability in 2009. With revenues of $1.75 billion in 2017, Overstock has remained profitable seven out of the last nine years.

    In 2010, Forbes magazine named the No. 9 Best Company to Work for in the Country, and Byrne the CEO with the highest employee approval rating (92%). In 2011, Ernst & Young gave Byrne its National Entrepreneur of the Year Award. In 2014, was one of the Most Trustworthy Companies in America as named by Forbes/MSCI ESG Research.

    Since Milton Friedman’s passing in 2006, Byrne has served as chairman of EdChoice (formerly the Friedman Foundation for Educational Choice), an organization leading a successful national push for school choice.

    Byrne received a bachelor’s degree in philosophy and Asian studies from Dartmouth College, a master’s in philosophy from Cambridge University as a Marshall Scholar, and a doctorate in philosophy from Stanford University. Having taught at the university level, he is a frequent guest lecturer discussing blockchain, capital markets, Wall Street practices, internet commerce, education, leadership and ethics.

    Rayne Steinberg is Chief Executive Officer at Arca. In his role, Rayne leads the overall direction of the company and is responsible for securities structuring and risk management. Rayne has a rich history of financial and entrepreneurial success with nearly two decades of experience. Prior to founding Arca, Rayne co-founded asset management company, WisdomTree. There, he was responsible for raising capital, creating intellectual property and building and overseeing the sales team responsible for raising $50 billion in ETF AUM. Rayne holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics from the Wharton School of Business.

    Meltem Demirors is chief strategy officer of CoinShares , a digital asset manager, and invests in and advises crypto and tech startups via her own firm, Shiny Pony Ventures. She advocates for a number of industry initiatives focused on market infrastructure and portfolio management practices; most notably via her participation in the World Economic Forum Blockchain Council. She works closely with the academic community on education efforts, and including creating the MIT “Future of Commerce” course and the Oxford Saïd Business School Blockchain Strategy Program.

Mr. McGlone joined Bloomberg in 2016 with over 25 years of futures and commodity trading and investing experience, beginning at the Chicago Board of Trade. Prior to joining Bloomberg, he was a head of US research at ETF Securities. Prior to ETF Securities, Mr. McGlone headed the commodity business at S&P Indices. His previous roles included head of futures research at ABN Amro and VP research, analyst, trader, sales at Aubrey G. Lanston / IBJ Futures.

    About Carlos Domingo, CEO and Co-Founder of Securitize & Spice VC:
    Carlos Domingo is a senior executive, entrepreneur, investor, and currently the CEO and Co-Founder of Securitize, Inc. Before becoming the CEO of Securitize, Carlos co-founded and launched SPiCE VC, a fully tokenized VC fund. In order to ensure global compliance for SPiCE VC, Carlos and his team created the security token issuance and lifecycle management platform that would later become Securitize, Inc. Prior to SPiCE and Securitize, Carlos was the President and CEO of Telefonica R&D, and CEO of New Business and Innovation at Telefonica Digital, as well as co-founder and board member of Wayra, one of the world’s largest corporate accelerators. He has been CTO and CEO or board member of multiple tech startups. On the investment side, he is the founder of Sling Ventures, an angel investment fund co-invested by the European Invested Bank, one of the founders of Dubai Angel Investors, and a Venture partner in THCAP VC.
